Legacy of History, Resilience, and Southern Heritage
Beauvoir, the historic last home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, offers visitors a glimpse into 19th-century Southern architecture and history. Nestled on a picturesque, 60 acre estate in Biloxi, Mississippi, the house is renowned for its distinctive raised cottage design and sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and our beautiful, Mississippi Sound. Visitors can tour the meticulously restored home (after Hurricane Katrina in 2005) and stroll through the beautifully landscaped grounds. The property also features an over 9500 square foot Civil War Museum that adds even more to the Living History that makes Beauvoir so beloved. There is a gift shop and our Confederate Memorial Cemetery where over 780 souls remain from our time as a Confederate Veterans Hospital and Care Home. On-the-hour guided tours start at 10am and run on the hour, every hour until 4 pm and provide rich insights into the life and legacy of Jefferson Davis, making Beauvoir a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts.
